Whats in a name...

When we first started working on the company, a bunch of names came out.

CloudSales, CallCloud, SalesExperts, GreenLight were early contenders, but we first settled on SalesTeam...




We ran for this for a few months, and after some debate, and a word from our lawyer around trademarks, we got some advice from a branding friend.

Our choice of names then included

  • AHOYHOY
  • ELLO
  • DIAL'R
  • PRESSTO
  • UHOO
  • TALKIE or TALKA
  • SPEAK EASY
  • HI TIME


With the advice of the StartMate Mentors, we settled on GoodCall have never looked back.

Our first outdoor advertising

Today Good Call went live with some outdoor advertising at the Australian Technology Park.

It's a freebie from the ATP to promote each of the companies in the StartMate program.

This is overly simplified, but we have found that the formula of asking a Yes question, telling a clear benefit and then having a specific ask is the best way to get a result.
